International governance and AI, Renaissance Numérique was at the 2026 JDI conferences

Lucien Castex, member of the Board of Directors of Renaissance Numérique, represented the think tank at the event “Multilateralism at a Crossroads: What's the future of young professionals in global affairs?”, organized by JDI (Junior Diplomat Initiative) France at Sciences Po Paris.

Following on from Renaissance Numérique’s work on the international governance of artificial intelligence and AI literacy, Lucien Castex, member of the Board of Directors of Renaissance Numérique, spoke at the round table discussion “Navigating the Age of AI: Promises and Perils”,
The purpose of this event was to explore the issues and challenges of the spread of AI and the future of its governance.

Here are the main topics discussed during the day:

  • How the democratization of AI is disrupting issues related to human rights, sustainability, and ethics.
  • How to responsibly capitalize on the transformative potential of AI while mitigating the risks associated with its large-scale deployment.
  • How the need for robust and innovative global regulation and governance of AI has become both urgent and inevitable.
  • How global AI governance can contribute to creating a sustainable, inclusive, ethical, and responsible future for artificial intelligence.

As a space for debate, the think tank is very pleased to have participated in this exchange organized by the JDI France, as young people are the most active users of new technologies and the leaders of tomorrow.
