Renaissance Numérique launches the “Omnibus Dialogues”

A two-day event bringing together experts to discuss issues related to the European Commission’s “digital omnibus” proposal.

Following a wave of major digital regulations (DMA, DSA, DGA, Data Act, AI Act), the EU is entering a phase of stabilization for its regulatory framework. The Digital Omnibus, presented by the Commission in November 2025, aims to make technical corrections in the short to medium term, while the Digital Fitness Check (DFC), recently submitted for consultation (see our contribution), assesses the overall impact of these rules on competitiveness and fundamental rights in the longer term, within a context of significant institutional complexity.

Building on the success of its previous Dialoguesprogrammes (AI Dialogues – 2024 ; Metaverse Dialogues – 2023), Renaissance Numérique is organising a twoday event to bring together French and European experts. The aim is to analyse the tensions between administrative efficiency and preserving the digital acquis at a time when major pieces of legislation such as the GDPR, Data Act, AI Act, NIS2, DMA and DSA are being reviewed. The sessions will also provide an opportunity to discuss the association’s recent work on effective interregulation in the digital sphere and regulatory consistency.

Renaissance Numérique’s goal is to make an independent, well-considered and valuable contribution to consultations on regulatory simplification in the digital sphere. To this end, theOmnibus Dialogues will seek to clarify areas of tension and identify ways to realistically improve regulations and institutional practices.
