Aude Schoentgen

Economist, Director, Analysys Mason

Specializing in telecommunications and digital technologies, Aude Schoentgen has worked on international projects across the private sector, academia, and development finance. Combining her expertise in economics with in-depth sector knowledge, she advises operators, regulators, and governments to inform their economic and regulatory decision-making.

Her work explores the evolution of technologies and their impact on economies, society, and the environment. She has a particular interest in the economics of emerging digital technologies, as well as in how businesses and policymakers can contribute to improving digital inclusion and sustainability.
Her recent research has focused on the economics of today’s Internet infrastructure and the potential impact of telecommunications policies on climate change. She has also worked on identifying the technical, economic, and social opportunities potentially offered by 5G millimeter-wave spectrum and has studied the digital ecosystems of several developing countries. Aude has contributed to numerous studies, including research on data protection-related damages, digital inclusion, and online advertising.

She holds a PhD in Economics from Télécom ParisTech, a Research Master’s degree in International Economic Relations from Sciences Po Paris, and a Master’s degree from Skema Business School.
